About the author:
My name is Camille Fauchet and I am a student of the class of 2017 at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. I am from Pittsford, NY but I moved to Brentwood, TN over the summer of 2013. I went to Pittsford Sutherland High School, one of the top 100 schools in the nation.
I have 14 siblings, which 10 of them are adopted. I am the youngest biological, and I have 5 siblings older than me. My adopted siblings have come from the following countries: 1 from the USA, 2 from Russia, 3 from Ethiopia, 1 from Senegal, 1 from Haiti, and 2 from Guatemala. This experience has allowed me to learn about many different cultures, especially the cultures from Ethiopia and Senegal. This is because I have traveled to Senegal 3 times because we have family friends there, also we had a woman from Ethiopia stay with us while she came to USA for heart surgery. I have learned about their religions, their food, and many other things.
Besides helping babysit my younger siblings, I like to play soccer. I have played travel soccer since I was 7 years old, and premier soccer since I was 10. I played for the New York West Olympic Development team when I was 13-15. At the age of 16 I played for my State Academy team and traveled all over the country. I have been on my High School Varsity soccer team since 8th grade and will play club soccer at Emory University. My favorite soccer team is Manchester United, to be followed by Real Madrid.
